Sirens

Can you hear that?

Those are screeching sirens.

As thee firemen slash the totaled vehicle.

Encasing thou legs like a cave collapsing into itself.

Do you believe your wealth will save you from death?

Can you even accept death?

Slowly your breath shrivels.

While your arms cringe from dislocations.

Having the incisive sensation of burning ashes.

Hush as your eyes slip into darkness.

Hearing suspenseful screams

Hoping it would seem like a dream.

Now rewind and rewind.

When you are behind a Chevrolet.

Texting the family I'll be there soon.

Never assuming doom from that last text.

Wrecked!

Flex as your muscles tighten the wheel's grip.

Flipped!

As the car spirals like a cyclone.

Sliding upon the freeway as if you are a launched paper airplane across the table.

Cradling yourself from impact.

Face smashes repetitively into the windshield.

While your hands are still attached to the steering wheel.

Can you feel it?

How about now?

How about now!

How could you allow yourself to be ignorant!

For an instant, your family trusted you with responsibility.

Now its sad to foresee your dignity shattered.

Splattered with endless shrapnel of metal and fractured glass.

Enough with the sass.

Look at yourself.

Can you feel that blistering scar written upon your face.

Wishing to erase those flaws.

Sadly in the eyes of the law, you are guilty.

For quickly ending a text.

Leading into casualties the next.

Why so perplex?

Do you really believe in ignorance knowing you are the main suspect.

Expect to compensate for time.

Do you feel alive from this adrenaline rush of speed?

Because succeed in murder indeed.
